Pull. Aim. Release.

without comments

What great weekends I had! Last week ke Singapore and this week Archery. Masa di Singapore, I was a happy and satisfied shopaholic. Didn’t realise my wallet thinned that fast!!! *yikes* Our flight to SG was delayed for 2 bloody hours! Atu kan excited berabis sudah. Initially the flight was scheduled to depart at 8.00 am, some few days later I was told that our flight was rescheduled 20 minutes so that the plane cud touchdown Changi Airport just before the SG Aeroshow/Airshow (?) rehearsal. Sudah boarding, kena gtau tia there’s a problem with the plane and so we had to wait until 8.30am. Yea rite, mimpi lah kan sampai awal. When every problem was rectified, ada lagi announcement saying that they had to reschedule (again!) our flight to 9.45am so that the plane can touchdown Changi just after the rehearsal ended. Damn. Out of boredom, I snapped a pic of the problematic plane. But it was ok lah. We were given a complimentary meal masa dlm terminal building. I had the chix sandwich from Express. Hahahahahaha. The inflight food was as usual: bad! I think I slept during most of the journey.

^^Balik :-( Ani kes malas ni namanya. Gambar saja dari jauh just to know which row kan check-in. Hehe^^

Interesting fact: I bought 7 pairs of shoes but only ONE handbag! Cemana ni?? Even di airport pun ku belurih kasut. Siuk berabut sama this blonde euro gal. We have the same shoe size so whatever she tried on aku cuba jua. Sampai this one pair which is soooo lawa (it’s in yellow btw) she took it off my sight supaya aku inda mencuba. Hahahahaha that was funny. Hmmph what else.. yeah, we had a few BAD taxi experiences. Penipu and full of sh!t. I dont mean that literally (that sh!t part). Malas ku cerita. That tells how bad the taxi drivers are. Now I mean this literally: they faces are full of sh!t, i.e. sh!t face. Damn, that was a relieve. With all those expenses on taxi, I could’ve bought one or two more pair of shoes. (Andy: “Pairs of shoes” kah “pair of shoes?” *giggled*). Our meals, we had one malay meal at Joo Chiat, semua makanannya pedas berabis; Mos Burger, Fish & Co; Alm’s at Lucky Plaza; LJS; and 7 Eleven’s garlic bread & choc croissant, hahaha. The best.. Alm’s Restaurant. The chix beriyani is sooooooooooooo nyaman, and the Dosai too. Yatah, that place was actually nda ramai org since it was still 10am. Skali this one kaling offered us to sit sbalahnya. Muahahahahaha whatever it was he had in mind!

Pull. Aim. Release. One addictive sport. I have always wanted to play Archery back when I was still in form five. Could it be my Archer zodiac that makes me so interested in this sport? Its like, after 10 years baru ku dpt merasai main memanah ani. For real. It was such a great feeling after releasing the first arrow! 3 & I arrived in KB around 10ish and had our brunch before starting our archery addiction. We didn’t know it was that addictive plg. There, we met two of our friends. Just let the pictures tell the story..

We had 40 arrows in total. 20 each. Everything costs B$16.50. Plus a few arrows kena lanja oleh Ali (thanks dude hehe). Atu pun alum cukup. Jangan inda mencuba. First timer lah katakan. Looking at the pictures, I think my hands are not in line with my shoulders. I need to work on the arrow pulling and aiming. I am more comfortable using that bow with the wooden thingy. I don’t know the name of the parts yet but I will sure learn. Somebody coach me!!!!!!!! Dpt jua ku jadi handal and ikut World Championship. Huuhuhuhuhu…inda jua salah bermimpi kannnn.. BJ (Belalang Jati) Archery Center, i’ll be there next week!

Sooooooooooo, anyone interested for a trip to KB and main memanah tugeder-geder??

(Congratulations to Zara & Fadly on their newborn baby. Zar, its pull, aim and release hehehe)

I am in Chiang Mai

without comments

Lama dah ku nda blayar..hmm iski eh..hehe

The flights were ok. A few minor turbulences tapi alhamdulilah I’m fine. Ah! The 1st adventure was masa kan connect ke domestic flight BKK-CHX. Seperti crazy kami lusir2. Nda plg belusir. Lari anak. Something like that, not sure of the exact words. Yatah sampai kaki ku berblister. Uwaaaaaa. Skali udah sampai Chiang Mai it was a relieve. The flight attendant was a nice guy. Tau ia kami muslim. Hehe. After an hour rehat we went out to look for the night bazaar and we locate it immediately. And then I decided to go to the mall. And yes, kami naik tuk tuk. Suka ku. Aku suka. Ku suka. Sakai! Cute eh. Bising plg. And imagine kalau ujan, mati chia berbasahan. Mengenangkan aku pada kisah masa d Mandalay, Myanmar. Huhuhu. Kami naik 2 jenis tuk tuk. Small & medium. Large alum merasai. Haha. And on our way back to the hotel, we say baby elephant.Tapi basar jua masih. Cuteeeeeeeeeeee…

The Central Airport Mall is cool. Before sungkai, we went separate ways for our window shopping. Then sungkai di pizza hut. Nyaman seafood pizza nya! I like. And the cheese mussels too. Mengenangkan aku pada seseorang. After sungkai we resume our shopping, i think i won. Razi didn’t get as much stuff as I did. Haha. Woman and shopping. The dynamic duo. Later in the evening, I went to the Night Bazaar..alone. Shhhhh jgn gtau mama. Kena lasing ku krg. But seriously, that place is much safer than Petaling Street. Ganya beware of dogs lah, payah krg memikirkan cemana kan tayamum.

I had mama’s sambal udang & tahai goreng for sahur. With steamed rice of cos. When I looked at my food corner. Mcm, supply utk 2 minggu pun cukup. Haha. Overpacked. The next day was kinda tiring. We had our meeting from 9.00 am til 5.00 pm. Joined the welcoming dinner for a short while and went to Night Bazaar. This time I didn’t went alone. Yet. Razi left me doing my shopping alone at 9.30. Ah well, I didnt mind at all. As usual, my final stop before going back to the hotel is Starbucks. They always have free food or drink as promotion. But u must be there arnd 10.30~11.00. 2 nights ago I tried the green tea + blackcurrant latte. Superb! And last night I had the blueberry cheesecake. Lucky me!

Today is another day. Joint expert group meetings going on til thursday. Its a boring presentation at the moment. He just read the text word by word. Yet he received compliments from the meeting that his presentations were excellent. How come? Uh, and there’s this rep from ITU, a Japanese hunk, H.O.T. *sesungguhnya aku sedang berpuasa*. Awu ah, dmlm I had a late late lateeeeeeeeeee sahur. Oleh sebab keletihan, I woke up at 4.25! Batah2 ambil breakfast box d reception udah tia 4.30! Haha. I checked online bila imsak and an Indon guy told me, imsak is at 5am. Phewwwww. I had pastries, fruits, sandwiches, and mini popia for sahur tadi. Back to my story, yes, that Jap is a sight for sore eyes.

Tonight we’ll be attending a special dinner hosted by Minister of Tele (kali) at the Chinese restaurant. Hmm mudahan ada makanan yg dpt d makan. Mun nda alamatnya makan indomee lah lagi…atau bali makanan d mcD & burgerKing.

Laters

Eh Aki….I miss u dude! Banaaaa

Muar Chee

without comments

Have I ever posted about Muar Chee before? I don’t remember. But anyhow, I suddenly have this cravings for Penang’s Muar Chee. I think sbb I met a Penang friend atu kali membuatkan aku terkenangkan the lovely Muar Chee.

He’s here for the RFID Seminar co-organised by AiTi, BEDB & John  Harith Computers which was held today at the Empire. Hmmph, malas kan blaaa blaaaa bllaaa about RFID. More info here. He’s one of the guest speakers from Pentamaster, Penang. Sbb I was so memajal last time masa d Penang, he finally agreed to bring the group to Gurney Drive where I had the best Laksa Penang, Penang Rojak, Char Kuay Teow, MUAR CHEE, Ikan Pari Bakar & the best Sugarcane drink. Ever. Thanks Kumar! And and and, being a typical Bruneian, mau lagi menapau MUAR CHEE tu balik ke hotel. Hahahaha.

Muar Chee is basically a simple snack food. Made of glutinous rice flour and tapioca flour and then disaluti ground peanuts, sugar and fried shallots. Di Gurney Drive, it’s eaten using toothpick. The CLEAN one of cos. Lastly, here’s a sneak peak of the Muar Chee (hahahahahah apakan)
